The object designed helps to make the award ceremony, usually a serious and solemn moment, a more playful and light-hearted event. It is a star, a wearable rosette, which draws on tradition but adds contemporary elements using 3D printing and a vibrant colour.
This project, which we conceived and realized, was an opportunity to work on a topic we have already dealt with in the past: celebrations and awards. The project arose from the observation of a painting ‘Ambassadors’ by Hans Holbein the Younger, 1533. A portrait of two figures leaning against a shelf filled with symbolic and evocative objects.
We therefore thought of working on an object that would be an award but at the same time a communicative object, both during the ceremony but especially afterwards.
Here are some photos during the award ceremony, the award designed by us certainly helped generate many of the smiles you see in the group photo.
