Transforming the Danish Pavilion during the 19th International Architecture Exhibition
We started hanging out at the Biennale Gardens last December. Everything was very quiet, with the only noise coming from the Danish Pavilion — and we helped generate some of that noise.
The project is a radical experiment that aims to reuse 100% of what is produced during the restoration of the pavilion to create the interior design of the exhibition and in a second phase, everything that will be needed for its restoration.
We contributed to the main project by bringing in our experience with demolition and the transformation of inert materials, which is part of our ongoing research initiative, Frantoio Sociale. In this case, there was no outreach or social component, but we shared our expertise in crushing techniques.
